Sheet 7 of 15 January 1939: sketch of a cam and lever mechanism
A handwritten, dated and numbered sheet presenting the technical sketch of a cam, articulated lever and spring mechanism, with partially illegible mentions perhaps evoking an accelerator.

Understanding this document
In this document
The sheet bears at the top, circled in blue pencil, the mention "7 - 15-1-39" p. 40, which numbers the page and dates it to 15 January 1939.
The document is almost entirely composed of technical sketches, with textual annotations marked as uncertain in the transcription: only the fragments "Acc. minim" and "Acc. Synchronisen" p. 40 can be distinguished, too fragmentary to be interpreted with certainty.
The main sketch
It represents a cam and articulated lever mechanism: a fork-shaped or cam-shaped part mounted on a vertical axis, connected to a horizontal lever (oriented by an arrow to the left) and a second oblique lever joining a fixed axis at the bottom left. A helical spring is drawn under the main part, and numerous construction lines (circles, axes, dotted lines) accompany the drawing p. 40.
Complementary elements
Below this sketch appears a graduated vertical rod, bearing transverse marks and two handwritten annotations connected by oblique lines — their content is not transcribed in a legible way p. 40.
At the bottom left, a second small sketch shows a circular mechanism with a central axis and two attachment points, crossed by a diagonal line, with its own construction lines p. 40.
Context
At the indicated date, January 1939, Paul Magès is working at Citroën in the years preceding the Second World War, a period during which several mechanical studies (carburation, injection, transmission components) are conducted in parallel, as attested by the 1933 file to which this sheet seems to belong.
The term "Acc.", if it were indeed to designate an accelerator, would refer to a classic engine control component; but this reading remains, in the current state of the transcription, a hypothesis external to the document and not data that it confirms.
Archivist's perspective
This sheet probably belongs to a series of sketches of mechanisms numbered and dated by the day, of which other examples are found in the same collection, such as the "Tooling sheet" forms reused as drawing supports.
The numbering "7" suggests that it is part of a series of consecutive studies, of which we unfortunately do not know the preceding or following sheets here.
The cam, lever and spring mechanism, despite the absence of a reliable legend, shows a certain technical interest in an articulated control system — it could fall under broader research on transmission or regulation components mentioned in the 1933 folder, but this hypothesis remains cautious in the absence of explicit text in the document itself.
