Privacy policy
The Paul Magès Association is committed to respecting the regulations applicable to the protection of personal data (GDPR and the Data Protection Act). This page describes, simply, what the site does — and does not do — with your data.
Browsing the site
The site can be consulted without an account and without registration. We use neither advertising cookies, nor tracking tools, nor audience measurement: no cookies are placed on your browser during consultation, with two exceptions — the membership payment page, where our provider Stripe places cookies strictly necessary for payment security (anti-fraud), and a technical administration cookie reserved for authenticated managers.
Our host (Vercel) processes technical logs — including IP addresses — strictly necessary for the operation and security of the site.
For research in the archives, the text of your query is transmitted to our technical provider (Vercel AI Gateway) for the duration of a similarity calculation, without being associated with your identity — we do not store your queries.
If you write to us
When you contact us (email, telephone, post) — for membership, a donation, a document deposit or a simple question — we use your contact details and your message only to reply to you and ensure the follow-up of the exchange. This data is neither transferred, nor sold, nor used for other purposes, and is kept for the time necessary for its processing and for the obligations of the association.
Online payments
Online membership is paid by card via Stripe: the details you provide (first name, last name, email — and, if you add a donation, the address and references required for the tax receipt) accompany the payment and are used to keep the register of members, to manage your membership — renewal, invitations to general meetings — and to issue tax receipts. Your card details are entered directly into the secure Stripe form — they never pass through our servers.
Online donations are processed by the Buy Me a Coffee platform, according to its own privacy policy. We never have access to your payment data.
People cited in the archives
The collection contains historical documents that mention individuals. Their publication online follows ethical rules and respects privacy and rights holders. If a published item concerns you, or a loved one, write to us : we will examine your request.
Your rights
You have a right of access, rectification, erasure and opposition regarding your data. To exercise it, write to us at contact@paulmages.com. You can also lodge a complaint with the CNIL (cnil.fr).
